Hi, I’m Eli Schinke, a photographer and filmmaker based in Santa Cruz, California. I’m currently in my third year at the University of California, Santa Cruz, pursuing a B.A. in Film & Digital Media with a minor in Theater Arts. Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and over the past four years, I’ve worked professionally in action photography, specializing in capturing fast-paced, dynamic moments with precision and energy.
My Experience
I’ve built my career in sports and action photography, but my passion extends far beyond the field. As a member of the Film Production Coalition (FPC) at UCSC, I’ve worked on multiple short films, providing both behind-the-scenes (BTS) photography and production assistance. I’ve also collaborated on independent student projects, expanding my experience in videography and filmmaking.

Whether it’s behind-the-scenes shots, cinematic videography, or portrait photography, I bring a creative and storytelling-driven approach to every project. My background in film and theater helps me craft images that feel authentic, expressive, and visually compelling.
Now, I’m expanding into portrait photography, offering services like senior portraits, creative headshots, and lifestyle photography to capture moments that matter.
